A long time coming!
It's been at least a year since I have done deadlifts. Tonight I had a friend come over to house and I did what every coach should do. I allowed mysef to be coached and it was pretty cool. I didn't over think everything, I simply did what I was told. Even though my lift wasn't earth shattering, I am extremely satisified with it. I figure if I can pull #315 with no problem after having shoulder surgery in March and no deadlifts for year. I should be back in the 400 range by the end of the year. I'm excited!

I can't understand how this guy can proclaim the greatest at anything. He is filing emergency protection orders, so he can get out of jail early. Damn Son! it's only been three days and its just the county jail at that. You beat your girlfriend in front of your kids. I think that deserves more than 90 days in jail. On top of that you should not be trying to get out after 3 days. SHAKING MY DAMN HEAD!

There is real work being done and it is very uncomfortable. That’s why I love
it, because since I started doing crossfit I have been uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable
has helped me lose over a hundred pounds. Now it’s going to help me get my “Captain”

“Finally on the right track”
After many attempts at this rehab thing, I believe I got it
right. The first step was to actually get the injury fixed. The second was to
give myself a reasonable amount of time before actually picking up a weight and
starting a program. The most important step is realizing that it will take time
and not allowing my ego to get in the way. This morning I enlisted the help of
Tim Janak Sr. He is one of the owners of Path in healings. This is now
conveniently located right next door to the gym. Tim is going to chart my progress, review my
rehab routine and determine what my path to healing should look like. I’m ready to get this party started. Tim Sr,
Tim Jr and Cindy are awesome at what they do. We also have a few other rehab resources
available at the gym. Beth Riemersma is a favorite of mine as well. So if you get a chance talk with them and
discuss your issues with them (only the physical ones please). I am sure that
they will be more than willing to help you out. If you already have someone
that you prefer and have worked with before, SUPER! I am excited because I feel as though I am
finally on the right track.

How Many?
I recently had some work done on my left shoulder. All of it was arthroscopic, but I have at least six holes in my shoulder. Normally you should have two holes; six holes mean they really” did work son!” I went back and forth on whether or not I should have it. I had a lot of questions and every question I had all started with “How Many?” Every morning when I put my uniform on, I would think how many more times can I do this which so much pain? How many more WOD’s will I miss? How many more times would I put my life in danger, by not being able to defend myself while on duty? How many times, will I tell someone to take care of themselves and not follow my own advice? Now you’re thinking how many more times will I hear about your surgery? That depends on how long it takes you realize that you have to take of yourself. Warm up and cool down properly. Focus on form first and choose your weights with your head not your heart. If you have a pain that is constant and you have tried everything possible to fix it and still no relief. It’s time to go see a doctor! I know you have heard all of this before and you do most of this stuff, most of the time. But seriously, how many more times will I have to tell you the same ish? Com’on SON!

The Rules for the Crossfit Games Open
The Open
The structure of the 2012 CrossFit Games season will be the same as last year. The 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games season begins with the worldwide Open competition. Everyone in the world is invited to compete in five workouts over five weeks, posting their scores online in real time. Last year, more than 26,000 athletes competed in the Open. With the community's rapid growth, this year promises to be substantially larger.Every Open workout needs to be validated to count. Competitors will have two options to validate their performances. They can workout at a local affiliate, where they will be judged in person, or they can submit video evidence of their performance to the entire community. There is no limit to the number of attempts an athlete can make, provided the score submitted prior to the close of each week.
Competitors will be ranked both worldwide and by region. The 60 fittest individual athletes and 30 fittest teams from each region will earn invitations to one of 17 Regionals. This is the first chance athletes will have in 2012 to establish their international standings. For Masters athletes, the top 20 athletes in each age division in the Open will qualify directly to the Games.
The CrossFit Games stand alone as the ultimate test of fitness. No test, regardless of its lofty claims, can grant legitimate title to the best without first providing access to all. The Open is a truly "open" competition. Anyone from anywhere can participate.

After the Open, the fittest 60 men, 60 women, and 30 teams from each of 17 regions around the world move on to the next phase of the season – Regionals. Athletes and spectators will gather in masses to watch CrossFit competition in a live format. Under the critical eye of Level 1 judges and in front of hundreds of cheering spectators, each Region's best athletes will battle for a few precious Games- qualifying spots.

Bad Behavior @ OC Throwdown
@ 4:13 you will see some the worst sportsmanship ever. He gets caught cheating and throws a fit. He should have been punched in throat. I think some people take this whole elite athlete way too far. Doing muscle ups and lifting heavy stuff is cool, but it doesn't make you bigger than the rules of the game. Think of it this way, After the WOD/Competition what are you doing to make a difference in the lives of others. Giving to those who can't repay you, makes you elite. This is my opinion only and under no circumstance do i care if you agree!
