I will be the first to admit, I did not care for the Ocean swim portion of the games. I spent many years at sea while in the Navy. I know first hand how intimidating it is. I don't care how well you can swim, if you have never swam in open water, then you have no idea. I understand the challenges that crossfit is supposed to present, but damn! Plus it was cold as hell out there on the beach at 0700 in the morning. I wondered what the thought process was in the programming or if there was one. After reading the article in the CF journal, i clearly understand that there was indeed some thought given to the swim. You should read and make up your own mind.
